Courtney Curnew

Certified Personal Trainer, Exercise Nutritionist & Yoga Teacher

Courtney began her career over 10 years ago, as both a Personal Trainer in commercial fitness and as a consultant in corporate health & wellness . She continued to build her experience in management roles at commercial gyms, but ultimately realized that her passion was in the one-on-one training experience: working with individuals on a personal level.

Courtney’s vision of fitness changed entirely over the course of her life. Throughout her twenties, she prioritized looking good and being as lean as possible. But over the years (and through hormonal changes and autoimmune issues), her body and mindset changed. Fitness became an essential part of her life in ways she never really expected.

Kaya Fitness was born out of Courtney’s desire to create what she felt was missing in the industry: a safe space for women to celebrate the bodies that they have, rather than the ones that they think they need.

Courtney wants her clients to listen to themselves and to their bodies, and not only to forgive, but to learn to love the ebbs and flows of life.
